Hawks Nest Golf Club is proud to partner with the Blue Tree Project, a charity dedicated to breaking the silence and reducing the stigma surrounding mental health and suicide.
The initiative was introduced to the club by Social Club President Phil Jones after he saw the powerful impact of the Blue Trees during a golf trip to Tasmania. Inspired by their message, the club’s Board of Directors were keen to support the initiative and bring the project to Hawks Nest.
In 2025, club members also launched R We Ok, a community group founded by long-term member Ray Tisdell. The group meets on the last Friday of each month, providing a relaxed and non-judgemental space where men can come together, connect and support each other.
The partnership between R We Ok and the Blue Tree Project highlights Hawks Nest Golf Club’s commitment to mental health awareness, showing the club is about far more than just golf – it’s about mateship, community and open conversation.
