HAWKS NEST GOLF CLUB
5TH – 9TH FEBRUARY 2024
Sunday 4th – Welcome and Registration 1pm to 4pm
Monday 5th – Medley Irish Fourball (Teams of four with two best scores each hole to aggregate)
Tuesday 6th – Individual Stableford Men and Ladies – 1st round of 36 Hole Championship
Wednesday 7th – Rest Day
Thursday 8th – Individual Stableford for Men and Ladies – 2nd round of 36 Hole Championship
Friday 9th – 2BBB Medley Stableford

NSW Veteran Golfers Association
Qualifications
All Players Must be affiliated members of a State Veteran Golfers Association and hold a current GA handicap – maximum 36
PROOF OF CURRENT VETERANS’ ASSOCIATION MEMBERSHIP MUST BE PROVIDED AT REGISTRATION OR TO THE STARTER ON THE FIRST DAY OF PLAY
Control: Decision of the Match Committee will be binding on all players.
Conditions of play and visitor information will be available at registration.
Any ties will be decided by the GA count back system. Your tee times will be available on the Club’s Website and at registration.
Golf Carts: Due to a new club policy. NO VISITORS CARTS ARE PERMITTED.
Hawks Nest is a comfortable walking course. However, a limited number of carts are available, if required. Please indicate your requirements on the entry form. The Tournament Director will facilitate cart hire with the Pro Shop. If a cart is requested you may be required to share the cart, depending on demand. Cost is $22.50 per seat (1/2 share).
Rules: Local Rules appear on the reverse of the score card and should be read in conjunction with the Local Rules board outside the Pro Shop. Dress rules apply on the Course and in the Club House. If available, please wear name tags.
The NSWVGA Trophy for both Men and Ladies is awarded to the best aggregate Stableford scores from Tuesday and Thursday competitions.
Activities: The popular Prawn Raffle may be conducted on Monday afternoon after the day’s golf results are announced.
On the Wednesday Rest Day, you may wish to play in the Club’s Competition Round, starting times are available at the Pro Shop.
Hawks Nest Golf Club was formed in 1963. Volunteers commenced construction of the course in 1970 and a 9 Hole course was subsequently opened. The course was extended to 12 holes in 1986 and to its present 18 Holes in 1989. The initial formation of the Myall Coast Veteran Golfers Club at Hawks Nest commenced in March 1997.
