JUNE 2009 NEWSLETTER

 LAND SALE

Since our last Newsletter the Board has met with

Andrew Wiesener from Crownland Developments to formulate an action plan to take us through the

various stages of development once he obtains

Department of Planning approval.

His development proposal will go on exhibition at Council from July and, barring any unlikely

complications, will be submitted to the Department of Planning to be gazetted.

Further meetings with Andrew are planned for the following month or so to get the ball rolling.

ON THE COURSE

Installation is progressing to schedule with minimal delays or interruption to our golf. When installation of the sprinkler heads around the greens

commences holes will be taken out of play more

often. Players should note that relief from refilled

excavations is only as allowed in the Rules of Golf. i.e nearest point and drop within one club length. The 10 metre rules only apply when the

excavations are open and workmen and machinery are working at that location.

The Mens Single Matchplay is at the semi-final stage. Good Luck to those left in. Nominations for the pairs opens on 22nd June. If you haven't played before get a partner and have a go.

Our representatives in the NSW Mixed Pairs failed to fire at Waratah on June 7th so unfortunately we will not have anyone going to the final at

The Vintage this year. Better luck next year.

Members will see some progress on additional Cart Paths donated by Walter & Vera Duering as

installation of the Irrigation system allows. The fifth hole will gain a new path next.

We have appointed a new Assistant Course

Superintendent to replace Nathan Reynolds

(who left to become Superintendent at Morisset). His name is David Rogers and he hails from the lower Blue Mountains and has spent some years working overseas, mainly in Canada. Dave will commence in early July.
